Professor Edgar Pieterse to talk about African cities challenge
Professor Edgar Pieterse, Director of the African Centre for Cities (ACC) at the University of Cape Town, will be in London in December to talk about the challenges facing African cities and the need for the proactive integration of disciplines to meet these.
The ACC is committed to enabling and facilitating discussion around urban research and policy. Its stated aim is "to promote vibrant, democratic and sustainable urban development in the global South from an African perspective", and has been supported by the Ove Arup Foundation.
Professor Pieterse's talk will take place at 6.00pm on Wednesday 5 December at the Arup office at 13 Fitzroy Street, London. It will be filmed and made available after the event.
